Conservative Books

The conservative books listed below embody, illustrate, and explain the principles that helped build America into the most prosperous nation on Earth and make her the beacon of democracy that she is today.  I have personally read all of these conservative books, and I encourage you to check them out.  I will continue to build my reading list as this blog grows.  So be sure to check back often for new additions.

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, by Ann Coulter

A compilation of Coulter’s best quotes (the ones that have most enraged liberals), organized by topic, including some never-before-published lines.  Coulter also offers new commentary on a wide range of issues.  If Democrats Had Any Brains provides her take on religion, global warming, the environment, Hillary Clinton, gun control, immigration, etc.  Coulter is never boring and always right on the money.

Men in Black: How the Supreme Court Is Destroying America, by Mark R. Levin

An exhaustive analysis of how the Supreme Court has corrupted the judicial ideas and principles upon which this country was founded.  Levin makes the compelling (and rather obvious) argument that the Court, over the last 100 to 150 years has rendered many important decisions based on ideological and liberally activist grounds, rather than restrained and disciplined legal interpretation.  The Court, writes Levin, has overstepped its authority time and again, beginning with Marbury v. Madison, where it gave itself the power to declare acts of the other two branches of government unconstitutional.  He later addresses other decisions dealing with campaign finance reform, abortion, and religion, among other issues.  This book isn’t just for lawyers; rather, Levin makes his ideas and arguments readable and understandable for non-lawyers because the ramifications of the Supreme Court’s decisions affect us all.  Interspersed with historical context and perspective, Men in Black is a compelling read.
